There is no reason, the implementation is not complete due to lack of interest in varnish.

Hi,
Have-you planned to complete the implementation ? W3 Total Cache + Varnish are complementary, I’ll try to find a solution to complete the implementation, or work on an other plugin to do it.
Thanks,
Fabien
I have no idea, what else people want and I’m moving away (personally) from using varnish for now. What specific features do you want?

Hi Frederick,
It’s would be great to have a way to purge Varnish in the same way we call “empty all the cache”. Or may be automatically purge Varnish when we call “empty all the cache” ?
Curently, you delete all the Varnish cache when we edit, modify or add an article or a comment ? (I think I remember you send several purge requests, I must look again.)
May I ask you why you have stopped using Varnish ?
Fabien
Varnish was too buggy in every release and on various OSes.

Yes, I must try again Nginx.
If you have formal varnish feature requests please submit the appropriate form from the support tab of the plugin with all of your wishes.
I’m using nginx as a webserver, varnish as a client side proxy, memcached as a server side cache mechanism and now W3TC to take advantage of it all.. but now I’m afraid I’ll have to drop varnish, which I wouldn’t like to.
