• I just got W3 Total Cache installed last night and it seemed to be working until I tried to post to WordPress using Textmate. I then got an EOF error from Ruby, and overall am noticing that the plugin isn’t handling new posts well.

Any ideas on how I can get W3 Total Cache to be aware of new posts (and let me post from Textmate via XML-RPC)?

    Thanks,

    Daniel

This is already the case, there’s no bug here.

and let me post from Textmate via XML-RPC

If you submit a bug submission report from the support tab with more details on how you have things set up I will help troubleshoot.

I’ve noticed it can randomly take a long time to post when W3TC db caching is on. If you have db caching on try turning it off and see if that helps.

Any guesses as to why ironmanjakarta? I never use XML-RPC myself personally. Do you DB cache to disk?

when i was using the old wp-cache plugin i noticed, using xdebug tracing, that sometimes when i made a post via rpc, or even directly using the native wp api, wp cache would thrash for a long time, up to 3 minutes. i guess it was doing cache maintenance. that was the main reason i switched to w3tc since it didn’t do that, except when i had db caching to disk turned on, so now i keep it turned off and it works great, very fast posting speed.

Would it be possible to test this with you so I can see what specifically is mis-behaved in this scenario? Can you submit a bug submission report from the support tab of the plugin?
