[resolved] unable to deploy? (7 posts)

I have made all settings as desired by me then clicked deploy and I still get a warning that I need to deploy my settings, see screen shot please: http://screencast.com/t/lHU8vGE7VU

any ideas why it won't deploy?

besides that in the Performance => install tab I see all the necessary .htaccess rules but they are not being written into my .htaccess files although I have double-checked the permissions and user/owner is set up so that the web server may write to these files.

P.S. If I visit the site in another browser with empty cache and not logged in I see the debug info in the source code so W3 Total Cache is working, so why the wrong warning about having to deploy it?

    Permissions issue?

solved the problem by turning off the object cache.
weird, it seems it was kinda caching my admin page so after clicking on deploy it would show me a cached admin page indicating that I still need to deploy.

can I make some settings to the options of the object cache to avoid this in future and turn it on again?

Can you submit a bug submission form with details to duplicate so I can investigate what the hangup was?

will do so now, but it is quite easy: as soon as I enable the object cache module and enable the preview: I am told I need to deploy and clicking the deploy button does not do anything or maybe I am seeing a cached admin page :-)

will submit a bug report just now.

This seems to have been a misunderstanding of the functions of this plugin. Talked to the author and he says he'll make the descriptions/explanations a bit more clearer in the next version.
    marking it as solved.
