I am currently installing W3 Total Cache and when I go to Performance > General Settings tab I see two warnings:

Preview mode could not be disabled. Please run chmod 777 /home/Martin/domains/albruna.nl/public_html/wp-content/w3-total-cache-config-preview.php to make the configuration file write-able, then try again.

The strange thing is that w3-total-cache-config-preview.php IS chmodded to 777. When I click the deploy button instead of the disable button this warning disappears.

The other warning I have is:

It appears Page Cache URL rewriting is not working. If using apache, verify that the server configuration allows .htaccess or if using nginx verify all configuration files are included in the configuration.

I have a .htaccess file and have never had any problems with it.

I looked around here on the forum and found someone who completely deleted the w3-total-cache-config-preview.php file. I have tried the same and this removed both warnings.

So now I am at a loss. Why do I get these 2 warnings? Do I really need w3-total-cache-config-preview.php to have the functionallity of the plugin?
