I want to use the self hosted CDN option but I don't want to install ftp on my server. Are there any plans in the future to add support for sftp transfers?

Yes, it's in the roadmap somewhere. Is there a reason why you can't use FTP to the other server?
Just to conserve resources. It's a low end VPS and I try to keep it as minimal as possible.
I don't think that is a worthy endeavor. W3TC already conserves resources across the board, no need for this step. Use a real CDN if you need to, they are cheap.
In absolute terms, SFTP has a higher overhead than FTP due to the encryption implemented in SSH.
@c3mdigital any other questions?
@blau true but since it is already available via ssh it would just make it easier.
@fredericktownes none at the moment. I really like the new UI.
Thanks.
