W3 Total Cache
Plugin loses minify settings on deployment (4 posts)

On our environment we have a staging server for testing and live server for production and the problem is as follows.

We deploy our solution with Capistrano so it creates a new release of our WordPress installation. The wp-config.php and some other things are shared over the releases and it works like a charm.

The problem is, everytime we deploy our solution W3 Total Cache loses the customly added files (JS/CSS) and generates a new hash tag when we save the settings, so our w3-total-cache-config.php becomes nearly useless since the most important feature to us is the minifing.

Is there a solution around it? Can we use shared hash key's or don't recreate them at all?

    Thx for help!

W3TC generates a hash to match minify settings to their themes and unfortunately the algorithm isn't identical each time the operation is run. Will think of a workaround for this.
