    I have installed the W3 Total Cache on several of my WordPress sites, and it has worked flawlessly -- until I tried to install it on this one:

    http://nhne-pulse.org

    When I tried, it generated the warning below. I just updated to the current version of the plugin today, and it continues to produce the warning below. I'd rather not add code to the wp-config.php page unless it is absolutely necessary (was this code added automatically to the previous sites I used the plugin on?). Thanks for any help you can give me!

    ...........

    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

    .../wp-config.php could not be written, please edit config and add:
    define('WP_CACHE', true); before require_once(ABSPATH . 'wp-settings.php');

  2. @sunfellow,

    You need to add define('WP_CACHE', true); to your wp-config.php file before you can activate the plugin.

    OK, so the warning means what it says! I'll give it a try. Thanks for the prompt reply!
