I think there is a bug with page caching and gd star rating not updating on post pages(or anywhere else you render ratings). I have seen someone else has posted on the GD star forum about this problem with no reply. It doesnt seem to be a problem with GD star at all as I have tried disabling almost all options in gd-star without success. The cache support in the GD star plugin only gets cached and all post pages just show the GD star loading... icon. I have tried adding all gd_ queries and have also tried removing post_meta objects. The only thing that seems to work is disabling page cache.
Has anyone else come across this problem?

If you disable all options except disk enhanced page caching the problem persists?
I will it a go shortly, at the moment the only way I can get the rating to update is setting the database cache to 180secs

I'm sorry, but it seems to me that this issue has been addressed elsewhere in the forum (and I've either forgotten the fix or the fix has changed), did you already search the forum and as the GD Star Rating plugin author?
Hey i did do a search but only found a post with someone else asking the same thing with no reply.

i think there is a conflict or w3tc doesn't support GD star rating plugin, the best option is to replace the gd rating with other plugin.

I had this same issue and fixed very simply by choosing 'Manual mode' in the W3TC minify settings. Automatic resulted in the perpetual 'loading' message for GD star rating, but 'Manual' it loads no problem and you can use the GD star rating no problem.
