  • I am getting the same message. What is the problem?

    Latest release of W3TC should fix your problem.
    But if not the plugin is having issues with htaccess.
    Does pretty permalinks work correctly for your WordPress? You have links like yoursite.com/nice-url-here instead of yoursite.com/?pid=232

    If yes have you followed the install instructions relating to .htaccess on the install page under the Total Cache menu?

    Which Cache Method are you using under Page Cache and Minify.

    Latest release? Do you mean the one from August 26th last year?
    There is everything OK with nic-urls and .htaccess is writable by the server. The message always appears when I want to use the enhanced disk cache. But that doesn’t seem to run on a multisite-installation. APC is working though.

    Others have that issue as well with enhanced disk cache. All with their variations.
    If you have not already done so could you file a bug report from the support tab in the plugin?

    @andreas have you submitted?

    No, I didn’t, Frederick. I just work around the problem with APC as I’m not really sure about the nature of this warning message. It appears quite eratically and could also have to do with some other plugins or the server settings.

    What are the various errors in your web server error log?

    Thread Starter Andreas

    (@sauerland)

    I don’t have access to the server log and the HTML monitor is not particularly informative.

    The error usually shows up if I change from APC to disk enhanced. Sometimes it simply stops showing up a day later and then everything is fine. I the any cron job involved that’s hampered by my setting to allow crons only in the wee hours of the day?

    Questions, questions….

    This warning is not really something that’s easy to troubleshoot with the current release, the next release will make all of this much more trouble-free (I hope).
