Just installed W3TC and MaxCDN on my site (Apache server at GoDaddy). Seems to be working fine. However, I backup my site using the ftp add-on in Firefox, and I got a lot of errors similar to this:

550 Can’t change directory to/wp-content/w3tc/objectcache/d/c/a: No such file or directory

The …/d/c/a: folder is there with no files inside.

Got about 150 very similar error messages. Bad setting, technique or just a startup anomoly? I contacted MaxCDN first and they said neither netDNA or W3TC require changes in bacup methology.
    Thank – John Lawson

Please do not use object and database caching on GoDaddy hosting without testing to see if it actually helps your site first, in this case it’s not appropriate.

Thank you very much. That fixed the problem with the backup with no sacrifice of page speed.

Are there other best practices re: GoDaddy hosting? Thanks!
