• I had my host install memcached for cPanel on the server and all signs point to it actually being installed. W3 Total Cache even tells me it’s installed in the compatibility checker.

For some reason, my website shows this error when I enable memcache for any of the cache choices. What’s happening?!

Fatal error: Class 'Memcache' not found in /home/--myusername--/public_html/wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/lib/W3/Cache/Memcached.php on line 25

I’d love to get this working. Word on the street is this is the best caching plugin out there. We have 100,000+ articles on our website and desperately need something to work ASAP. The amount of dynamic content it’s serving up is raising the loads like crazy on our server so I hope we can figure this out 🙂

Triple checked with several advanced technicians at my host. It’s definitely installed. Not sure why I keep getting the error. Mind boggling!!

There’s still a server configuration issue unfortunately, I can’t guess what it is based on this information, but caching is obviously not working. The fatal error should be enough to convince your host something is not ok.
