W3 Total Cache
[resolved] Excluding iFrames / Compatibility with WP Geo Mashup plugin (5 posts)

I'm having trouble getting TotalCache to play nicely with the Geo Mashup plugin. Geo Mashup inserts a Google map in the page as an iFrame. All works normally at first, but after several minutes (around 15-20 mins or so, generally), when I load the page all of the maps get replaced with an iframe of the front page of my site. Emptying the TotalCache cache corrects the problem, but it reoccurs again after several minutes.

This happens for both signed in admin and anonymous visitors, suggesting to me that it's not a page cache issue (I have it set not to cache for admins).

I'm using WP 3.0 and W3TC 0.9. I've tried disabling separately the Page Cache, Object Cache, Database Cache, and excluding the entire Geo Mashup plugin directly on the Page Cache settings (ie. Never cache...). I don't have any of the Geo Mashup javascript loading in the Minify settings. I've also tried it with multiple browsers and multiple computers to try to rule out browser cache.

Is there some way to exclude iframes generically or some other settings I should try?

Can you exclude urls with geo_mashup_content in the query string? The map iframe urls for Geo Mashup maps look like this:

    http://homeurl.com/?geo_mashup_content=render_map&and=so_on

No there isn't, you may not be able to minify HTML (and additional options) without debugging your templates. If you want to submit a bug submission form from the support tab I will take a closer look.

I'm happy to provide any added information about how Geo Mashup makes requests if that's helpful. It sounds like requests that use the template_redirect hook may not be working with w3-total-cache.

A bug submission form with relevant details is probably the fastest way to the bottom of this.
