[resolved] Dedicated/Virtual Server options greyed out (4 posts)

I just migrated from a shared host to a VPS. When I go into the W3TC settings, all of the options for Dedicated/Virtual Servers are grayed out. How can I activate those options so I can properly configure W3TC for my shiny new VPS?

Apologies in advance. I'm positive this is a dumb question, but I can't seem to find anything through searches. Thanks!

Please check out the install tab (also use the development release) for instructions on how to add the additional software.

Thanks Frederick. To be honest, as a non-techie that looks a bit beyond my abilities.

Is there anything in the regular settings that you'd recommend tweaking for a site on a VPS? Or are the default settings good enough for reasonably good results?

I'm looking for bang-for-the-buck here, and if I can get 90% effectiveness by tweaking the regular settings I don't mind missing out on the additional 10% of performance that I could possibly get by adding all the additional software. Does that make sense or am I missing something?

    Thanks for an incredible plugin!

It kind of makes sense. The point is you can go as far as you want with performance optimization. As your site grows, you will find some steps are no longer optional. If your users are happy, you can take a break from performance tuning for now.
