• I’m only getting this shortcode to work and no others: [voucherlist]

After creating some vouchers and copying their shortcodes to my posts, they do not work. The [voucherlist] works just fine and I am able to get the download link and download the vouchers, but none of the other shortcodes seem to display in my posts. Any help? I’m using the most recent versions of Voucherpress and Graphene theme.

Can you confirm that the vouchers you’re adding the shortcodes for are available to download? A shortcode for an individual voucher will display nothing if the voucher isn’t actually available.

I have created several vouchers and like androiddomainer, only the [voucherlist] short code works. When I paste a shortcode for an individual voucher, nothing appears. Any help?

Please upgrade to the latest version and make sure the voucher you are adding the shortcode for is available for download. If it is not active, or ha expired, nothing will show up.

You can also check the source code of the page where the shortcode should work for an HTML comment explaining why the shortcode hasn’t rendered anything on the page.

I am also unable to to get my vouchers up. It was previously working. I upgraded the plugin and still no luck. I also did a Reset VoucherPress database with no luck. And a saved the voucher again, no luck. All looks good when I look at the voucher in wordpress, but even when I use the shortcode link manually, there is no voucher.

I figured out my problem. I messed up my index.php file and I see now that the voucher uses this file. Once I fixed index.php, voucher is back up and running. Thanks for the handy plug in!

What did you do to your index.php file to fix it? I have the index.php copied outside of the blog folder so when someone types the main url, they are directed to the site.

I had renamed index.php to indexold.php because I was wanting to use an index.html to speed up the performance of the home page because I didn’t need to use anything in wordpress for the home page. So what I did to word aroud this is I made the link I was using to access the voucher, fully qualified (replaced the /?voucher= with /indexold.php?voucher=). It now comes up because it is able to establish he connection to wordpress. Hope that helps.

Glad it’s working. Be aware you’ll need to change this every time you upgrade the plugin.

I just installed the Voucher plugin on a fresh install of WordPress 3.0.2 (this is my first time using this plugin) and it will not activate.

    1) I installed it using the Add New Plugin > Search “Voucher” > Install Now.
    2) After installing, I click the Active link and I got a message at the top of the page “Plugin Activated”. Although it was not activated, it was still listed under “Inactive” plugins.
    3) No listing of plugin on the left side of the admin page.

    Any ideas anyone?

    Thanks

Upgrade to the latest version (1.1.2) as the installation bug has been fixed.

Thanks Chris, I have upgraded and ran into some problems. I posted a bug report.

I’ve just released version 1.2 of VoucherPress which should fix the out of memory error, and the activation problem. There are also several other features in this release – although be warned: I haven’t had chance to test this as thoroughly as I would like. The bugfixes/new features are:

    – Changed templates to work at 150dpi (1181 x 532 pixels) to overcome memory limit problem
    – Added code which attempts to temporarily increase PHP memory limit to 64mb while a voucher is being rendered
    – Fixed activation bug caused by WordPress breaking the Plugin Register plugin
    – Upgraded to recent version of TCPDF
    – Allowed CSV download for all vouchers, not just ones requiring an email address
    – Added nonce fields for security

The next version of VoucherPress will be a complete rewrite as the code is currently very messy. I also hope to include a feature to create vouchers of different sizes, and have the option to format the vouchers in more ways.

Please report any problems using the forum system on WordPress.org as this allows me to manage all the bugs: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/voucherpress/
