• Looks like a very usefull plugin, but I’m having some weird issues implementing it.

I have installed the plugin on both a local and an online WordPress site (using TwentyEleven 1.3). On the local version I can see that the page is using the custom template, but nothing shows up on the discussions page. Also the embed script is missing in the source

On the live version the page template is not being used, nor visible in the page editor, but I can see the embed script is in the content..(??). Still, no discussions are showing.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!

    +1

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi guys,
hopefully you have already solved your problem, but in case you haven’t check the embed code in the (WordPress) plugin and make sure it is the same as the embed code in Vanilla Dashboard (Dashboard->Addons->[embed]Vanilla->”Forum [Embed] Code”). In my case the embed code generated by the plugin was not right and I had to replace it with that generated by the [embed]Vanilla plugin (addon).
For a detailed guide I suggest you to read this document How to integrate Vanilla WordPress plugins and widgets.
    Cheers

The Vanilla people are very, very helpful.

I eventually figured out what you’re saying. I will soon be submitting it as a bug fix in their github. Frankly this plugin needs a lot of help, especially the embedded comments part.

I read that document and it was okay but it missed a couple critical features, I also anticipate working on that as well.
