Support » Plugin: SlimStat Analytics » Plugin uses admin-ajax.php, causing slow loads

Pingdom was reporting that admin-ajax.php was adding a couple of seconds load time to my site. Since this php file should only be used in the admin panel, I was confused that it was slowing the page load time for an anonymous user.

I searched which plugins were using admin-ajax, and Slimstat was one of them.

As soon as I disabled Slimstat, load times improved and admin-ajax was no longer slowing my site down.

Can someone please confirm whether this is a known issue?

    Thanks in advance.

That is not correct. Admin-ajax can be used anywhere on your website. Please see

You may want to set Javascript Mode to ‘No’ and Browser Capabilities to ‘No’, if you don’t want SlimStat to use admin-ajax.php

A review for our plugin would be a nice way to say thank you.
