User Role Editor
[resolved] Don't see "Add New Role" (5 posts)

I might be going crazy, but I can't find the "Add New Role" box. I only see the box for editing existing roles. I'm on the Users > User Role Editor page on a site with no other plugins enabled running Twenty Eleven.

I think it's supposed to be on that page, but I can't find any documentation that confirms or denies that.

    UPDATE:

After getting some sleep, I went back and looked at the source. All of the settings are there except the CSS is hiding the "Add New Role" and similar widgets behind the existing user capability editor admin widget.

Now to figure out a solution...

If others have one, please share.

WOW! That was quick. If the admin window is too narrow, various parts of the editing UI disappear. If you can make your window wider, that at least partially resolves the issue. The next version clearly needs an update to the admin styles.

Do you use the latest URE version 3.6.1?
Can you check it with WordPress 3.4 beta 4? URE admin CSS was updated to be compatible with that version which will come soon.
For my tests with FireFox on Ubuntu URE management boxes just wrapped out to the bottom of too narrow page and could be seen after simple scrolling down.

I checked URE 3.6.1 with current WordPress 3.3.2 under Window 7 with FireFox 12.0 with the same result: if browser window is too narrow, URE management boxes are wrapped down and needs just browser window scrolling to become visible.
Even in such narrow browser window URE still can be used. I don't think that it's critical, be cause of most of users have wide full HD monitors, I suppose.
