Installed User Meta and after actvation the background of my site changed. Checked all my setting and even changed the background but it stayed the same. Unpon some investigation I found that User Meta was injecting a Template.css into my site. This plugin is all backend other than a shortcode so I do not see why it would even be attempting to put a css file into the mix.
I would suggest that if you use this plugin that you be very careful, not very nice behavior in my opinion.

Thank you for your reporting. Injected css will be remove with new version .
New version are rebidding with new structure. more field types and more function are added with new one.
New release will be available by 1/2 week.

Just identified the source of this behaviour too, so an update would be much appreciated as I should like to be able to make use of the User Meta plugin but cannot as things stand.

New version 1.0.5 is available. New version introduce new look and fill, also improving functionality. Fixes previous bugs
