All posts are assigned to group & can't unassign (3 posts)

I was having a problem first with the check box not staying ticked after I saved a post so I uninstalled UAM and reinstalled. I have created one group linked to my subscriber role. Now, every post has been restricted to this group and I cannot unrestrict it (the checkbox is greyed out so I can't deselect it). Also when I go to create a new post it is also restricted to this group by default and I can't change it.

The weird thing is that I am using some of these posts in a "display recent" widget and the excerpts are displayed fine in the widget, but when you click on the post title the post page says you don't have access to view it.

This is only affecting posts, as my pages are working fine and I am able to select and deselect the group access on all pages.

Has anyone else had a similar problem?

I am still having this issue and hoping someone out there can help. I can't create any new posts for the general public to view since they are all automatically assigned to my "members only" group (which need to be logged in to see them).

At the moment I'm thinking I'll have to uninstall UAM and reinstall (which I've already done once - see above) - will this be a problem now that I have users registered?

So I uninstalled UAM and went in to check my posts and they look fine - no restrictions. Then I downloaded a fresh copy of UAM 1.14 and installed it. Out of the box the plugin remembered the group I had set up in previous installs and applied this group to every post in my site automatically and the checkbox is greyed out so I can't remove it.

Developer doesn't seem to be around - here or on his own site so at this point if no one has any suggestions I will have to look for another plugin to do what I need.
