    Hello,

This plugin is exactly what I am looking to do with my site. I have read through all of the post in this forum and I am still unable to get this widget working. I have installed version 1.5 and activated it. I then created a new directory (/wp-content/Test) I only specified Test in the widget config but I put the full path so you can get an idea of where I am at. I also changed the perms on the Test directory to 0777. I kept the default 10 mb limit and removed the file type restriction for testing purposes. I upload a file and everything seems to work fine but when I look in the test folder there is nothing there. Searching my public www directory for the file name I uploaded yields nothing. The file I am uploading is like 3K.

Just wondering if this widget is supported on WP 3.0.3 . My site is hosted by hostgator.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks,
    -Jimmy

    Hi,
I'm using upload widget plugin with WordPress 3.0.1 but there is no reason It doesn't work with 3.0.3.
Have you an error message ?
"In allowed files" puts "*.your_file_extension" .
Are-you sure to have write access on "/wp-content/Test/" ?
Try with blank in upload path and see in /wp-content/"(default is "/wp-content/").

    Hi Mopelaud,

There are no error messages it looks as if the data is uploaded but nothing is ever placed in my test folder.

Leaving the extensions section blank allows all file types. This is what I had in place and it still didnt work. With 777 permission to the Test directory everybody has write access to that folder.

I tried it with a blank upload and even changed the perms to 777 on wp-content for the test and still got nothing.

I have since found a similar plugin to fulfill this task for me.

Tried updating your blog to 3.0.3 and see if the plugin still works.

    Hi,
Please can you explain your issue ?
Personally I use this plugin with wordpress 3.1 with no problems.

    Best regards

    Hi monpelaud,

I find your plugin very useful and easy to setup/manage. I have one question, though not directly related to your plugin - how I can download the uploaded files without using the FTP? Is there any way in the WP admin panels to see what has been uploaded, and decide what to download or delete? I'm building a website for a client who is not very tech savvy, so I'm trying to make things easy to manage as much as possible. I have searched for some plugin or anything like that, which will help managing the uploaded files (let's say managing a content of some folder), but with no success.

I'm using WP 3.1, by the way.

    Thanks, again great plugin.

    Hi,
I understand your need but I developed this plugin for a specific need which does not include the management of files by the user.
    Sorry.

That's ok, I just wanted to check with you if you know about such plugin or a way to download the uploaded files, besides FTP.

    Thanks,
    Robert
