• First: YAY!! An LMS implementation of my favorite platform. Woo-hoo! You go girl.

Second: Don’t get snotty about the grading thing. Leave it up to the customer to make that choice, regardless of your spirits on the issue.

I am the Rich Media Specialist at Granite State College in Concord, NH, overseeing the deployment of WP-based support systems for academic departments, faculty and students (among other things). GSC recently switched from Bb to Moodle, and it has been a bumpy ride. Moodle is robust, but not very user friendly. I’ve earned an MS in Instructional Design, and have been developing on the WP platform for about 4 years, so I am pleased to see this interpretation of it.

Your product is a great idea. Go forth. But please don’t let the product impede the instructional architecture we are beholden to. Put in a grading system! Without assessment, there is no credentialing, whether you believe in it or not.
