Yeah, same problem. Again. This problem exists for months, why isn't it being patched properly?
At first I thought WP Super Cache was the problem, because the plugin suddely updated when I deactived WP Super Cache. But after that there were no updates any more.
I tested the plugin with all other plugins deactivated: no updates.
I reinstalled the plugin: no updates.
Using the latest version of wordpress and twitter widget pro, theme: child of twenty eleven.
Honetly, the biggest reason this hasn't been fixed yet is that I haven't been able to reproduce this on ANY of my sites at all, and no one has been able to come up with steps or specific environment settings to reproduce it. I this this is largely because it affects such a small percentage of users (maybe 1%).

I my case it was a case of user confusion. I had used a major twitter account to follow in my blog using the plugin and the feed at twitter.com was being updated regularly but the feed on my blog was not.
I put a empty twitter account into the blog wiglet, created a tweet on the new account, and about 10 min later it showed up in the blog.
Some people have been having problems like this due to their servers not being able to properly handle HTTPS requests to Twitter. The new version (2.3.5) adds a setting to the Twitter Widget Pro settings page that lets you specify HTTP instead.
