[Plugin: Twitter Tools] Hashtags don't work

I’ve been using this plugin for a while but I only recently turned on the hashtags feature only to discover it doesn’t work. Since it seems this plugin is no longer actively supported, does anyone know of a compatible alternative? There’s a lot of Twitter-related plugins out there.
