   For one imported post, huge chunks of the post were left off (only the first line/paragraph was brought over).

   For others, the title was swapped with the body copy.

   For yet others, images came over but were not appended to the post in WP as they had been in Tumblr.

   The mapping is a mess. I have a lot of clean up to do.

   There's no way I can keep the importer on going forward. What a shame—would have made managing my tumblr_wp a lot easier.

   The importer is intended to be an importer, not a cross-posting tool. You use it once when migrating from Tumblr to WordPress, not on some kind of continual basis.

   Also, yes, it's not perfect. Tumblr has dozens (hundreds) of special weird cases and the importer doesn't know them all. Specific cases that can be fixed are happily accepted, if you can point them out.
