    Hi there,

So far I'm pretty excited about this plugin, but I have one concern...

Is there a way I can translate an entire paragraph at a time, rather than just a phrase between punctuation?

    Thanks,
    Caroline

    Hello Caroline,

This is something we are working on improving (for too long, I admit) but for now your solution might be in the top of the parser.php file, see the documentation there about variables allowing you to change parsing.

    Good luck

    Ok, thanks.

I jumped in and changed TRUE to FALSE, so it now reads:

define('PUNCT_BREAKS', FALSE); // Will punctiations such as , . ( and such will break a phrase
    define('NUM_BREAKS', FALSE); // Will a number break a phrase
define('ENT_BREAKS', FALSE); // Will an HTML entity break a phrase

I am concerned about the bugginess of this, as I have already noticed that some of the automatic translations have phrases missing, but as I plan to override them all this should hopefully be no problem.

FYI an example of a translation that changed:

Was: Isabel nasceu no Rio de Janeiro, Brasil em 1979. Ela atualmente reside em Calgary, Canadá.
Now: Isabel nasceu no Rio de Janeiro, Brasil em 1979.

Hopefully this will be tested and added to the next release?

    Thanks again,
    Caroline

    Hello Carloine,

This is truly not release quality code, we are working on a different solution which will hopefully be easier for end users. This is coming on the next major release (0.9 or 1.0) and will probably take some time.

When one changes the parsing rules, translations do change, because phrases break differently, and I agree, this has never been fully tested.

It is a bandage, not a cure, but as I said - hope to have something better.

Let me know how you fare
