Hello,
Thanks for your very useful plugin.
But how can I translate manually the title, the meta description and the permalink ?
For information, I am using WordPress SEO.
Best regards.

On the page you want to translate those you will see some transparent boxes (either at the end of the page, or at its beginning, depending on the template) those will contain the meta, title etc.
Good luck

Thank you. But I don't see any transparent box.
I am using the template "Twenty eleven".

In fact, it doesn't display the transparent box when I want to translate a french post to english, whereas the english is the default language for my site.
Is there a workaround? Or will it be fixed?
Thanks.
A link to your site will be useful, however - when you go to edit mode on the page itself, you will see green and yellow icons (the boxes) when some are semi-transparent, just click them, the title and other metas are there.
I don't know what there is to fix (yet) ;)

The page is: http://www.fredericgilles.net/migrer-de-joomla-vers-wordpress/
The boxes you are talking about are displayed on English pages that need French translation but not on this French post that needs English translation.
Hello There,
Have you enabled translate default language? and also - did you make sure to mark the French pages as such using the language select box in the post creation (and edit) page?

Yes

Yes, it is defined as French.
Ok,
Now I understand better, and I know that you have actually hit a use case we have not thought about,
The translation in default language happens as the post is marked as being in another language which is done by using a lang=xx tag which can't be used in the metas and upper title.
I have no solution for you at this point except maybe writing the post in the default site language and reversing the translation (yes, I understand its a lame solution, but this all I got)
Sorry about that.
