   I'm trying to find if there is anything out there that will scan the content of a post and if it comes across a twitter hashtag it will assign the post a spesific tag.

   Basically I am pulling in a series of tweets from a couple different twitter accounts and turning them into blog posts in a certain category. I'd really like to assign a tag to each new post based on the hashtag found in the post (based on the tweet) that I can predefine.

   Does this make sense? I have spent some serious time trying to research and look for a plugin to help out before I attempt to build my own plugin.

   I think that I have it figued out. It was right under my nose. Use twitter tools to pull the tweets into blog posts and then use simple-tag to auto generate tags based on a set of predefined keywords you set up. The result is a series of blog posts made from tweets that are tagged the same as their hashtag and now can organize tweets by hastags.
