When I put a table into a post is there a way for it not to be visible on my homepage but visible when the post is clicked on. I just want my posts to have brief description and a thumbnail visible on my homepage, not the table.

no, I think this is not possible. Yes, you can do one thing, add a Read More Tag before the tables. So tables will not be visible on home page and only be visible on the post

Posted 2 years ago #As ryans149 says the <!--more--> tag is the right way to do this. There's a button in TinyMCE to insert it too.
