Support » Plugin: Broadcast » [Plugin: ThreeWP Broadcast] Broadcast for pages

  • Hi Edward,

at first let me say, that I love your plugin. It makes things for me so much easier.
For a new project, I will use wordpress as a cms in focus and will mostly add pages to network-blogs, so that they can be translated by others.

Are there plans to make pages also broadcastable, and maybe unlink them?
That would be the last piece in my workflow puzzle.

    Thanks in advance

    Dirk

If you are interested in a German translation for your plugin, it would be a pleasure for me to help!

See the newest version. Has all you want.

If you want to translate it, there’s a Pot file in there for you to use.

    Hi Edward,

thanks a lot! That really helps me!
I will send you the german translation within the next week.

If you want, I can also translate the other plugins.

    Have a nice weekend!!

Nah. It’s fine. Broadcast is the only one with translations. Danke auf jeden fall.

    Hi Edward,

Great plugin, thanks for sharing it! Thanks for adding pages support. It seems in my testing that parent page settings aren’t preserved upon broadcast. It would be great if you would consider adding that functionality to benefit CMS type users.

    Thanks!

    Parent page settings, huh?

    I’ll have a look at that…

    Hi Edward,

making page and navigations-settings broadcastable would really be a big benefit!

    Merry x-mas!

    Dirk

Navigation settings? What? Could you show me a pic of what you mean?

Broadcasted children are now linked with broadcasted parents (assuming the parents exists on the child blogs).

    Settings are retained.

Anyone want to help me test v1.2? Email me at edward@mindreantre.se

    Hi Edward,

I meant the page-parent-settings. I want to broadcast the parent-information to other blogs, so that the broadcasted page has is in the navigation of the target blog.

Is that possible with 1.2? I would appreciate if I can test that.

    Hi Edward,

I just discovered a new issue.
Without having anything changed I get a HTTP500 when I try to update a page with one or more blogs selected for broadcast.

That happens on existing an new pages. None of them have been broadcastet before.

    Can you help?
I try to get a error-message for apache log.

Well, send me an email and I’ll send you 1.2

In order for child parents to keep their parents, you must first broadcast the parent page and then the child.

Oh! One thing a changes is, that I updated WP to 3.0.4.
    Hope that can help you.

This is the error-message from syslog.

PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function has_linked_child_on_this_blog() on a non-object in /var/www/wp-content/plugins/threewp-broadcast/ThreeWP_Broadcast.php on line 1100
