   I hid the login box with css but I still need to add the login link above register link in widget. where would I add this code to just get the login link as I do not want them to actually log in from the widget. any help is appreciated.

   There are many different approaches that could be used for this: You could create a custom page menu or even use the text widget and create the HTML needed within it.

   yes but when they log in it wouldnt say "log out" there would still just be the buttons there.

   If you use the page menu approach, the Log In link will change to Log Out.
