I have recently installed xampp on my computer for local testing and while trying to Theme-Check my new theme I get the following error:
Warning: file_get_contents (MyXamppPath\htdocs\demo/wp-content/themes/theme\images) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in MyXamppPath\htdocs\demo\wp-content\plugins\theme-check\main.php on line 29
    Any help would be appreciated.

Windows file permissions im sure... Make sure the theme folder you are trying to scan has read permissions for the webserver process.

Thanks for the answer but still didn't fix my problem.
I have searched the internet for permission setting in xampp / winxp and no luck...
As I see it the problem is with the slash vs. backslash folder delimitation...

    Any suggestions?

Windows PHP doesn't care about the slash/backslash thing. It interprets them the same way.

    Is "theme\images" a file or a directory?

"Images" is a folder. I tested to see if the plugin checks the files inside "Images" and it does... So, should I worry anymore?
