I upgraded to the 2.0 (free) events calendar and discovered two problems I don’t know how to fix. In the dashboard, under the events page, each event has ‘yes’ under the ‘recurring’ column. Since recurring events is a ‘pro’ thing, I don’t know why it does this or how to fix this. And second, all my events are showing up multiple times on the calendar, even though there is only 1 event created…does this have anything to do with the recurring issue and can anyone tell me how to fix? I’ve already tried to uninstall and reinstall…

    THANKS!

  • I’ve had this same issue on a few sites. The Tribe team is still working out the bugs and hopefully they will have this fixed soon.

We’re working with Tim (CreativeSlice) to try and identify what’s up here; there’s definitely something weird at play, but we’re unable to recreate it on our testing environments so it doesn’t seem to be across the board. As soon as we figure out what’s up here, and assuming it’s a bug that’s fixable within the plugin, we’re going to get it patched. Apologies for the inconvenience to all in the interim.

I just started having this problem too. I began by creating a mew even by using the option “Copy to a New Draft” on an existing event. I did this several times to create several sessions on the same event series. When done, every event appears 50 times! However, each of the 50 instances have the same Event ID and if I delete one, they all disappear. On top of the event list, the plugin show that I have a total of 46 Published events which is correct, event though the last 9 I created each shows 50 times.

Any suggestions as to how to fix it?

Hi there Carlos. Thanks for the note here; where does the “Copy to a New Draft” option that you’re mentioning come into play? Is this a WordPress-native feature, or something being thrown in by a third-party plugin? I’m not seeing this anywhere on my local install (attempting to recreate your problem) but let me know if I’m not looking in the right place.
