• I installed and activated this plugin. I also watched the video that described the installation process – to confirm that I’d done everything correctly – which I had.

    Unfortunately the claim: “No setup required. Just plug and play!” is false.

    When I create an event and click on “View Event” – I can view the event that I’ve created. However when I go to the homepage of my website – I don’t see any calendar – no event – etc.

    The forums don’t clearly explain how to fix this..

    “The word ‘event’ is used to maintain the domain.com/event because if you don’t have the slug your using…..

    ….I added it directly below the following line, which is first in your functions.php
    <?php wp_enqueue_script(‘jquery’);

    …..Convert all the “tribe-events” to “Post” via this plugin to get them out of the custom post type structure called “events” and back into your “post structure” from there delete the 2.0 plugin by unstalling and deleting all files for it. Get an older version of the plugin “

    un-installing plugin.

    Thanks

  • Hi there galeroy. Thanks for the feedback, and apologies to hear you’re having issues. It sounds like what you’re experiencing is a set-up issue…in theory, and on all the sites we’ve tested on / users have provided feedback on, the installation is just a process of uploading the folder, activating the plugin and going from there.

    The calendar does not live on the homepage of the site; it lives at /events (or whatever you configured under The Events Calendar –> Settings). You shouldn’t have to add any code to make this happen. Perhaps that was where you ran into an issue?
