is it possible to create a slider or a carousel that will display pictures from a certain event post by post id?
any similar thoughts?
my client would like to show pictures from events on the home page similar to the "paparazzi" frame on this page:
http://socialfloridasguide.com/
obviously I would like to be able to change the event pictures displaying every couple of days.

I tried using this plugin, didn't work
as well as my theme's build in slider can not work with custom post types

Hello mh1562,
You would have to custom code this. While we can't really support customizations, I can say that the tutorial that would probably lead you in the right direction is this one: http://tri.be/add-the-post-thumbnail-to-your-event-list/ and this one: http://tri.be/themers-guide-to-the-events-calendar/
Obviously you are trying to get more than a post thumbnail in a category, but I think the idea is that first you need to get your blog to pull images from the events, then tell those images "where to go" in a sense.

Hi Joyce,
I don't have much programming knowledge and i am not very familiar with code in such level.
I was looking to find a plugin that will do the job with simple installation and configuration if the thing is possible.

Hey mh1562 ... unfortunately it's not something that The Events Calendar can do by itself - if you aren't at home with PHP then your best bet is to continue searching for a plugin that might be able to automate this for you.
