   I've been searching for a way of being able to show the first 4 / 5 most recent events and upcoming events on the homepage in separate lists. I found a solution at http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-the-events-calendar-solved-how-to-show-past-and-future-events-the-missing-documentation?replies=10 , however it seems that the plugin code might have changed since that was published.

   How could I do that with the current version of the plugin?

   Chris, could you just use the widgets to accomplish this? Remember that if this didn't work, you've always got template tags at your disposal (which could be viewed in great depth here: (http://tri.be/support/documentation/). That help?
