I use the plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-no-category-base/, which allows me to use domain.com/categoryname/ versus domain.com/category/categoryname/. I see no need to require the word category in the url. Would be really nice The Events Category plugin didnt require "category" to be in the url either. This is the only plugin that i have that has issues following those rules.
Thanks,
Mark

Actually it appears that the Upcoming Events part is the only one that has this issue.

I'd like to remove the extraneous "category" in the URL too. However the TEC templates still generate the extra "category" in links appearing in the upcoming view, past view and when clicking on "Back to Events" in single view.
What do you mean it only appears in the "Upcoming Events" part, MACscr?
