[Plugin: The Events Calendar] Remove fields and disable single post (4 posts)

    Hi there!

I am considering using The Events Calendar for my site but I was wondering if it was at all possible to either remove event fields or to add our own custom ones.

Also, my events have very little information so I really don't need to show them as single posts. On either the large calendar or the event list, is there anyway to disable the link to the event blog post?

Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi Furio,

You should be able to disable the links by using the custom template option. Check out the basics in the docs: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/the-events-calendar/other_notes/

As for custom fields - at the moment you basically need to modify the plugin, not hard to do if you know how to code, but probably beyond the non-coder skill level.

    Thanks for the reply Shane.

For the custom fields - my only hesitation with modifying the plugin is when you release updates - I wouldn't want it to override the changes I made (or have to keep going back and making the changes each time I update).

So I guess I'm kind of out of luck then?

yeah, thats always the struggle when messing with plugins. Its not so bad if you are comfortable using some type of diff, but it is still a pain.
