[Plugin: The Events Calendar] Last Event Created's Excerpt Content Shows up on Front Page

I have the latest version of The Events Calendar and wordpress, for some reason suddenly it now shows the content from the latest event I’ve created on the Front Page. I have a specific Page setup for the front page. When I remove that setting it just shows the Event information… How is this happening and has this happened to anyone else before?

I’m using TEC with Thesis and it has worked perfectly fine up until a week ago, I went back to every version down and the same issue happens with every version.

Is there a way to add a filter to pre_get_posts for homepage that could exclude this somehow or something? Thanks
