[Plugin: The Events Calendar] Events slug overriding tag base

    Hello,

    I’ve installed this plugin and all is working perfectly except on all the event pages where I have a tag cloud, the tag base is being prefixed with /event/ so all the links end up as

    www.domain.com/events/tag/exampletag

    Is there a way to change it so it’s just

    www.domain.com/tag/exampletag

    I have tried resaving the permalinks but it’s still not working.

    I’m just using a regular:

    <?php wp_tag_cloud('smallest=12&largest=16'); ?>

    Any ideas?

    Hey guys. Thanks for the note here. This bug with the tag clouds is unfortunately a known issue. We’ve got a patch in the works that should be deployed with 2.0.9 at the beginning of August…but unfortunately you’ll have to sit tight until then.

    We do feel your pain here and will get this patched up as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience so far and please let me know if you have other questions.

    Fantastic to hear. Thanks for the quick response and your patience. If upon updating to 2.0.9 you still have issues, definitely let us know and we’ll do what we can to troubleshoot from there. I’m confident the patch will do it across-the-board, though.
