The Events Calendar
[resolved] Events Calendar view - no menu items (7 posts)

    This one's probably specific to my theme and set up but if you could give me some ideas of what to go look for that'd be appreciated!

    I have a menu that displays correctly on every page on my site except when you're at the Event Calendar / Event list page.

    The menu code on that page produces a #menu-main-navigation ul, but no li items.

    If i use <?php wp_nav_menu( $defaults ); ?> it shows a menu but it's the default one - not the one i want to use ( called MainNavigation ) - and also doesn't have any of the other parameters I set under wp_nav_menu( array( ));

    I deduce ( sherlock ) that for SOME REASON?? Events Calendar events page doesn't honor the wp_nav_menu array settings.

    i even added theme support for 'menus' and 'nav-menus' just in case but that made no difference.

    any ideas?

    If i put the 'theme_location' parameter into wp_nav_menu no menu displays at all :/

    it seems like i'm going to have to put an if / else statement that says:

    if this is the calendar page -
    [ hard coded menu ( bleh! ) ]
    else
    [ proper wp dynamic menu ]

    Thanks for the note here, folks. If I'm understanding the issue correctly here, it sounds like the same one we've already got a discussion going on over at http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-the-events-calendar-navigation-from-template-get-lost?replies=14. That possible? If so, do you mind reading that thread and chiming in there as needed (so we've got the entire discussion tracked in one place)? If your is indeed a separate issue, let me know and I'll adjust my response accordingly. Thanks in advance!
