   I found a post that describes my problem: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-the-events-calendar-single-page-event-not-working?replies=12.

   I renamed the "Single Event URL slug" and it fixed it temporarily. However, every time I add a new event or update an old one it goes back to redirecting the event link in the calendar to the homepage.

   Any suggestions?

   Found a thread that lead me to turn off the monitoring under options in the Redirection Plugin.
