[resolved] Error for gridview with no events that month (4 posts)

When looking at the gridview, if the month has an event listed, it will display without error. viewing a month that has NO events churns out a vast amount of errors along the line of:

Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /home/xxxxxx/public_html/wp-includes/comment-template.php on line 776

Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /home/xxxxxx/public_html/wp-includes/comment-template.php on line 793

Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /home/xxxxxx/public_html/wp-includes/general-template.php on line 1644

Notice: Undefined property: WP_Query::$post in /home/xxxxxx/public_html/wp-includes/query.php on line 2986
Notice: Undefined property: WP_Query::$post in /home/xxxxxx/public_html/wp-includes/query.php on line 2986

I assume its down to it passing a non object as there are no posts. Any solutions? feel free to google this as you will see ALOT of sites that use this plugin are now strewn with the same errors.

    just to outline:

I have tried the twenty eleven theme, I have disabled all plugins. I have tried a fresh install and I have it working on another site just fine. the main difference between them is this one is a WPMU site. possibly the cause?

Hey there StuckOn_dev. Thanks for the note here. This could be related to WPMU - we have a few conflicts known in that instance - but I've never heard this particular one reported.

Can you confirm a couple things for me? namely:

    * What template you are using here (as configured under Events -> Settings -> Template); and
    * Whether this occurs only on months with NO events scheduled, or ANY month?

If you could let me know about those I can continue looking into this for you. Thanks for your support and patience so far.

Much appreciated. I stuck with the twenty eleven theme to test to make sure it wasnt theme related, the problem seemed to occur when I used a template created by myself that contained the loop. Moving files over to the "events" folder and editing those seemed to resolve the issue.

It seems that it was related to using a custom template file rather than using the ones contained in events. when the loop is used to output the event rather than your custom method.

I would mark this as resolved as it was purely down to my tinkering than any fundemental error in your code, I would just warn against mixing in the loop with your event posts as it seems on some occasions they dont get along :)

Thanks again for a fantastic plugin, has been hugely useful and remains on my list of must haves.
