That’s odd, it sounds like there might be a plugin/theme conflict. Have you tried deactivating all other plugins and/or switching your theme?

Tried all of that already. Plus, when I go to click on the calender of an event that I created, two of my wigets: textbox and WP photo album sidebar get dragged into the page.
How can I remove them from the events page and force it to display the current month?

What version of the plugin are you using, what about WordPress?
WordPress 3.3.2 and the Events Calender 2.0.6.
Can you share a link for your website so I can see what’s going on?
Unfortunately I can’t. The site is on a private company server. I can however send you screen shots of specific code if that would help.
I’m really going to need to be able to take a closer look, ideally getting access to the admin. Short of having that there’s not much I can do. Can you post the site private somewhere online?

Actually it does display the calender (with the days) for the current month. However on the top in the drop down list for the month, January 2012 appears.. Is it possible to change that to May 2012?

This is a shot in the dark and I’m not sure if it will work but try modifying /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/public/template-tags/calendar.php – find line 148 and try changing the “-01” to some other values like “03” or “04”.

Close. I changed it to “03”, and that alters the year drop down list to 2007.
The dropdown menu default month is January.. I want to be able to change it to the current month. The drop down year is fine (2012). Changing that line alters the drop down menus year.
