[Plugin: The Events Calendar] Builder and WordPress Child Themes Support [Critical] (3 posts)

This plugin looks very, very promising. However, it's failure to support child themes makes it worthless to the majority of people who use modern premium themes and to many BuddyPress users.

For instance, I built a site for a client based on itheme's excellent Builder Theme. Event management is key to the client and I sold them on using this plugin *before* I realized it doesn't work with Builder... or any of the newer child-based themes.

I noticed that non-critical bugs are being dilligently worked on *today* and I was wondering if someone could take a shot at supporting child themes through the fix mentioned (in the abstract) in the following posts:

No doubt there are other bugs, but this one is highly critical for everyone who uses a child theme.

    Hey Brandon,

We are providing volunteer support for small and simple bugs on an ongoing basis, while we remain focused on the next major release (no date yet).

Support for child themes is being worked on by the contributors. Turns out it isn't simple. We'd be thrilled for help (if you are a good developer), as this is a community effort and we gladly accept contributions.

Thanks for engaging and good luck on your project.

The first patch for child themes was submitted last night and has gone to qa. Should be available sooner or later. If you are brave, you could grab from trunk (although it will probably break other things).
