Hey Braintrash. Thanks for pointing this out; have you tried modifying the language file to ditch that character? Let me know if that doesn’t work for you.
I’m having the same problem. Calendar shows up fine, but trying to view a single event gives a blank page.

Braintrash: No problem. Are you running with the French language file? IE you’ve translated your site in the WP-config file? If so then it should be in the ‘lang’ folder within The Events Calendar. You’d modify the “fr_FR” po/mo files (saving the first should generate the second) and it’d take care of what you want to do. Let me know if you have problems there.
Bizarro5: Any chance you’re in a position where you can test deactivating other plugins? My guess upon looking at your site is that either another plugin (or possibly the theme) is conflicting. Reason I think this for your specific instance is that the majority of users having this overarching problem are running a foreign language but your site is in English. Can you let me know if the deactivation route is possible, and if so what it yields?
I’v deactivated everything except Gravity Forms. I don’t understand; it was working fine until last week, and I haven’t added any plugins.

That is odd; as nothing has changed with the plugin since the 2.0.3 release, I don’t really know what could be causing this. If you want to give the current beta code (somewhere between 2.0.3 and 2.1) a go, I would be happy to send that your way to see if it fixes the issue…let me know.

Bizarro5: We’re working on some tweaks to how single event pages are handled in 2.1 – hopefully that will fix the issue. I suspect your theme and the 2.0.x branch are not getting along very well.
Just in case my experience may help diagnosing this type of problem:
When I first installed the plugin, the calendar view would show up OK, but clicking the event list button or even the calendar button would result in a 404 error. My site is in French: the URLs being generated were […]/a-venir/ and […]/mois/. Both valid URLs: it looks like the first one was generated from the string “à venir” in the French translation, and the accent was stripped. Still, neither URL worked.
I discovered I could see either view by accessing […]/upcoming/ and […]/month/ instead. So, the plugin generated each view at the default English URL but referred to the French language file when creating links to those pages.
My WordPress installation is a bit atypical: I’m running multiple sites in two languages (French and English) and using the Backend Localization plugin to keep the back end in English no matter which site I’m working on. Still, the French URLs don’t work even if I switch the back end to French…
I wound up editing the French translation in Poedit so the plugin would translate “upcoming” to “upcoming” and “month” to “month”. Seems to work fine now; I’m just not sure why it wouldn’t work before.
This is definitely helpful – thanks, burkingman. We will have some of the code related to this in the 2.0.5 code that should be out tomorrow or early next week, but the bulk of it will be in 2.1 (which is what we’re shifting focus to next). Thanks for being patient so far.
