   I poked around with the TDO plugin, but I haven't been able to figure out how to do what I need to do.

   I want to have posts that are publicly viewable, and I want visitors to be able to enter data into these simple forms (several single lines of text). Then when they hit "Submit" the data they entered will be sent to a corresponding, already-created post where it will be formatted, styled, and displayed with other elements.

   Is this possible with TDO?

   Should be.

   Let me make sure I understand what you're asking. You have a number of already created posts and you want visitors/users to be able to "send" data to those posts?

   Basically you want to allow visitors to edit already created posts. So you'll need to create Edit forms to do so.
