Since updating from wordpress 2.7 to 2.7.1 I can not update posts containing [code] or [sourcecode] with syntaxhighlighter 1.1.2.
Error message is:
Warning: htmlspecialchars_decode() expects parameter 1 to be string, NULL given in /htdocs/wp-includes/compat.php on line 105
After that, the text between [code] and [/code] is lost.
Someone with similar problems or any advises?

I am having a problem where the code bit that I write gets displayed twice instead of once. What should I do?

I'm having the same problem as K.krohn... It found out that it was because of a bug in compat.php
Someone has already mentioned it

so it's very simple to fix this one...

I suggest you guys better use Syntax Highlighter Plus.
It works just fine up to WP 2.7.1, I at least didn't experience any issue until now.

numediaweb: upgrade to PHP5 or edit compat.php based on nyamsprod's link.
Arian Xhezairi: SyntaxHighlighter Plus is literally a fork of my plugin and will likely experience the same issue. My guess is you're on PHP5 which is why it works.
