   The plugin is successfully activated, but there is no option to configure it, nor the needed files are added to the file footer.php.

   My plugin requires WordPress 2.8+. I don't provide support for old (and insecure) versions of WordPress. Please upgrade to a secure version, ideally the latest version (2.9.2).

   You should always run the latest version of WordPress if possible.

   Thanks for the info.

   I thought that it could be a bug of some type. The required WordPress version in the plugin page was 2.7 or higher.

   Yes, my readme file was out of date. I updated it as a result of this thread and the minimum version is correctly displayed now.
