[resolved] Doesn't work on cell phone and Samsung tablet (21 posts)

    Hi.
I sent you a message but have not received a reply so I thought I may better contact you here.
Sweet Captcha works just fine but not on the cell phone or Samsung tablet. I am using it to login for admin but on the tablet I can't log in. I have to deactivate this for the login which is a bummer, frankly.
Please let me know if there will be a fix for this.

I forget to add that the captcha is there but I can't drag the icons to the designated area.

    Hi Pieke,
Sorry for the inconvenience because we are doing SweetCaptcha for FREE and also we are not a large team, some time the support mails get delayed.
    ;-(

On mobile, try to click the right answer not to drag - please let us know if that worked for you.

    Hi Josh.
I just tried but it does not work. I have a Galaxy tab and a HTC Desire. It just does not work... :(
I do appreciate the fact you created such a fun captcha, it goes well with my blog!

Hi Josh, I just received the same message in which you ask me if I tried right-clicking on it. And the answer is the same: that does not work.
I hear from others they can't comment since it does not work on their cells either. I look forward to hearing from you to find a fix!

For some reason this topic is marked as 'resolved' which it is not. How strange is that?

    Hi Pieke,
    ok... it is strange.

Btw, have you tried it also on the SweetCaptcha homepage?
    or just on your site?

    Thx,
    Josh.

    Okay, wait...
No, that doesn't work either. I used HTC Desire to try. Clicking activates a link at the bottom of the element but does nothing, I can't drag since that only scrolls the page. So :(

I have the same problem on a HTC desire and an android tablet. Cant get it to work on either the sweetcaptcha homepage or the various websites i have this installed on. Hope you can fix this, love the plugin but Android needs to be compatible.

Good to see I am not the only one! Thanks for your reaction, let's hope the guys will fix this soon, it really is too bad it doesn't work and since many people want to post via mobile phone this is a bummer.

Hi, no, it has never been fixed. I only get responses with 'we're doing this for free' and 'please donate' but solving the problem is not done. I tried everything, it just doesn't work. At all. :(

Seems to me that to them, saying 'remember we're doing this for free' means 'so we don't have to be good'. This is an outrage if you think of all the highly professionals who work their butts of to give the world apps and more that are as close to perfect as they can make them.

By the way, the gall of stating that this has been solved. Not >:(

    Hi Pieke,

wow, "for free' means 'so we don't have to be good'."

We are supporting thousands of website owners. get more than 1 million impression per day, and 99.9 of our community loves us and support our "FREE" project.

    What does "FREE" means:
    1. Its "FREE" for you! - you don't have to pay for this service , not for the design, not for the language - FREE.
    2. its "REALLY FREE" for us!
We don't get paid for this, not for our time, hosting, design, content etc'.

And yes, for now we are not supporting all the devices like our competitors such as Google...

So, Thank you for your patience and if you feel you can contribute something to a FREE project, rather to comment - you are more than welcome.
(Our Community is growing per day and can use all the help it can get ;-) )

    Thx,
    Josh

    Hi Josh.
No, 'for free' does not mean 'you don't have to be good'. Quite the opposite. I mean that even though this issue has not been solved for over a long time instead of fixing it or letting me know you are aware of the problem but can't fix it you tell me 'we are doing this for free (with capitals)'.
I appreciate all the people, like I said, that are helping others by doing things for free, allowing this world to become a better place. But if your only defense is that you're a small team doing it for free with (capitals) I get a bit weary. It hollows out the 'free for a better world' feeling I have, with people who do not boast about helping for free.

But anyway, this is what I think and I still think it would be great if you could solve it :)

I just noticed this on my samsung galaxy tab. Love the plugin otherwise. Has there been any progress? I'll be happy to help but I'm not sure what to do. I've built a few plugins but nothing all that technical so I might be useful. Any idea WHERE the problem might be in the code, or at least what file(s) would handle it? I'll give it a stab and do some tests.

That is a kind post, xValkyrie! I hope they will react to it and help us out.
In the mean time I will switch to another Captcha. It has been almost a year now and they don't seem to be able to solve it. It would be such a nice plug-in. I will keep an eye on this (possibly abandoned) thread.
    Thanks for your reaction :)
