[Plugin: Subscribe2] Subscriptions and Unsubscriptions do not work

    Hi there, I can’t get the Subscribe2 plugin to work.

    When I enter my email address in the subscription form, I get the confirmation page saying that I have been subscribed, my email address is added to the admin subscribers list, but with an exclamation mark on a side. If I enter again my email address in the form, I receive a new confirmation email, and in the admin subscribers list the email address is added again, being shown twice. Unsubscription also does not work: if as an administrator, I manually confirm the email address in the admin panel, and then try to unsubscribe from the site, I get a “That email address is not subscribed.”

    Please help.

    @unalieno,

    You are supposed to get an email from your blog that contains a link. You need to click this link to complete the subscription or unsubscription process.

    If you are not getting these emails you need to check your settings and then speak to your hosting provider about why the emails are not sending. Especially because if these emails are not sending then it’s unlikely that the emails will send when you make a port.

    Hy Matty, I am getting the email. After clicking the link, I get the confirmation page saying that my subscription succeeded. But then , in the admin panel, it keeps on staying in a pending status.

    @unalieno,

    Are you using any database caching plugins at all? Try disabling other plugins and see if the database then gets updated.

    That worked! THanks.

    In my case it was the DB Cache Reloaded Fix plugin.
